First Response Emergency Care (FREC3)

Overview

Hosted and instructed by the Instructors of Ronin South Africa, Qualsafe Award's First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers the full range of skills required by the HSE for first aid, and more! For those with further ambitions, it also forms the first step of a programme to become a Paramedic in 2 years.

Over 5 days, you will fulfil the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, gaining the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations.

A perfect fit for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder or are active in the Close Protection Industry

Among the first to arrive at a scene, First Responders typically includes law enforcement officers, firefighters, and those providing medical cover at events, as well as those working in high risk environments including the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing.

Our Instructors have 40+ years of experience in both civilian as well as special operations prehospital care, gained in a city with the third-highest trauma per capita in the world.

DURATION
5 days: 9am - 9pm

You will notice an above average number of hours per day compared to any other Level 3 Course. This is because we believe that you should receive value for money and gain as much practical expertise as possible. As such, we dedicate a period of voluntary evening practice from 6pm - 9pm each evening.
Meal breaks for lunch (1pm - 2pm) and dinner (5pm - 6pm) will be taken.
