First Response Emergency Care (FREC3)

Return and refresh your FPOS-I / FREC3 with a brand you know and trust. This course will be hosted and instructed by us.
Qualsafe Award's First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers the full range of skills required by the SIA and more!
Over 5 days, you will fulfil the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, gaining the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations.
Our Instructors have 40+ years of experience in both civilian as well as special operations prehospital care, gained in a city with the third-highest trauma per capita in the world.

Our course will be held at Hotel Rochna, close to Łódź, Poland. Nestled in the heart of Poland, Łódź is a city where history meets modernity, offering endless inspiration for those who visit.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Łódź Airport is serviced by all common Airlines incl budget airlines such as EasyJet. Transfer distance to the Hotel is about 40km and easily done via Taxi or Uber.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements other than being a Ronin South Africa Graduate, regardless of the currency of your previously issued FPOS-I or FREC3 Certificate.
ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Accommodation & Meals are for your own arrangement & account.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING
Comfortable clothes and an open mind is all you need.
EXAMS & ASSESSMENTS
You will receive a Pre-Study pack via email to reduce the theoretical burden on course. You will also undertake both practical skills assessments as well as theoretical exams.
TOPICS & SKILLS COVERED
Topics & skills are covered in a progressive and innovative way born of real-world experience and include but are not limited to:
- Demystifying pre-hospital care
- Universal prehospital patient care approach (Sinai System)
- Scene management
- Catastrophic haemorrhage control (a new and authentic approach)
- Innovative spinal management
- Assess and manage a patient's airway at a basic life support level
- Breathing assessment and emergency oxygen delivery
- Injuries and treatment of bones, muscles and joints
- Environmental emergencies
- Management of minor illness and injury
- Basic Life Support resuscitation
- Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Management of medical emergencies (Anaphylaxis, Hypoglycaemia etc)
This certificate is issued electronically via email and is valid for 3 years.
