Overview
This 7-day refresher course ensures Close Protection professionals maintain both medical and firearms competency in a single, comprehensive program.
The 5-day FREC 3 re-certification refreshes essential prehospital emergency care skills, exceeding SIA requirements and covering the PHEM skills framework (Level D).
Taught by instructors with 40+ years of experience, the course prepares you for real-world medical emergencies.
The 2-day firearms refresher focuses on tactical firearm handling, live-fire drills, and scenario-based training, ensuring your skills remain fit for purpose in Close Protection. This combined program reinforces operational readiness across both critical disciplines.

You are cordially invited to attend the Graduation Dinner of the Poland CP Course on Friday, 12th September 2025 to welcome and meet the latest crop of Ronin SA CP Graduates.
DATE
13 - 19 September 2025, inclusive
We will meet at Hotel Rochna at 7am on Saturday, 13th September 2025.
Ronin SA will provide transport to & from the shooting range (departing from Hotel Rochna).
ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Accommodation, Breakfast & Dinner are for your own arrangement & account. We will provide packed lunches for the Shooting range (2 days), the remainder of the days lunch can be purchased from the Hotel.
Should you wish to book your accommodation at the same Hotel where the training staff is situated, please feel free to contact Hotel Rochna via https://www.rochna.pl.
Naturally you are welcome to source any other accommodation of your choosing.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Łódź Airport is serviced by all common Airlines incl budget airlines such as EasyJet. Transfer distance to the Hotel is about 40km and easily done via Taxi or Uber.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements other than being a Ronin South Africa CP Graduate, regardless of the currency of your previously issued FPOS-I or FREC3 Certificate.

EXAMS & ASSESSMENTS
Firearms: You will undertake practical skills assessments but no theoretical exams given that you have written these already.
FREC3: You will receive a Pre-Study pack via email to reduce the theoretical burden on course. You will also undertake both practical skills assessments as well as theoretical exams.
Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, candidates will receive an updated Professional Firearms Trainers Council (PFTC) Proficiency Certificate, a Ronin SA Firearms Proficiency Certificate as well as a Qualsafe Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC3) which is a United Kingdom Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) qualification.
This certificate is issued electronically via email and is valid for 3 years (FREC3) and 5 years (Firearms) respectively.
